    ENCHANCEMENT SESSION

Current Rate. Most tattoos fade over time and with sun exposure. After 5 to 10 years, they might need touch-ups to restore color or lines. It's amazing how a tattoo can look richer and deeper after being refreshed. As an artist, Renee also improves her skills over time.

Revised July 1, 2025. Current tattoo contracts will stay as they are until further notice.

  • I guarantee all work for one year if properly cared for and aftercare instructions are followed. Not following these instructions may require extra appointments at your expense (artist hourly rates apply).

    • If you have a small issue with your heal in the first year, please let me fix it. I'm proud of my work and want it to be perfect for you at no extra charge.

Healing a scar camouflage or tattoo cover up:

Scarred tattoos often can be camouflaged with the 2D texture techniques. After a few years my tattoo my lighten lighter than the original tattoo, but at that time doing touch-ups and layering the pigment can improve coverage overall. Scarred skin and surrounding areas typically heal more slowly, which may cause the pigment to not have the vibrancy as it should, several light passes takes care of the first pigment loss.

    Enhancement Sessions

    • For prolonged Sun damage pieces these are Not touch ups and are considered Enhancement sessions, and will be at the most current rate. Cool thing is you can can creativity change things up after 5 years or so. but you could also destroy a lot of timely detail.

    • It is as important to me to have your tattoo looking its best as much as it is to you.

    • Do not shave near the tattoo with a razor to avoid cuts; just trim the hair. Limit stress on the tattoo area to prevent swelling and pain.

Drink water and eat healthy meals. If you follow a specific diet that limits this, let your artist know.

  • After your appointment

I care deeply about the quality of our tattoo project. Make sure to care for it the best you can by following these steps. If you have any questions please reach out to me. These are minimal requirements to meet our project agreements stated in your tattoo request agreement. If you stray and have a heal, you are financially liable for touch up sessions, not the artist or studio.

    1. Keep the bandage on for the maximum of 4-6 hours. It's normal to see blood or fluids under the bandage at this point. Do not take off bandage until ready to wash for this fluid will dry and form a scab. Your first wash can be messy, be prepared. Make sure your sink/ shower is cleaned and aftercare is accessible.

    2. With clean hands, wash your tattoo with your hands only using an unscented antibacterial soap (try our foam shop), using small circular motions with moderate pressure while touching the tattoo.

    3. Rinse with clean water and repeat until the tattoo is clean from slimy fluids build up. Wash Rinse Repeat!

    4. Pat dry with clean paper towel(s).

    5. With clean dry hands, use a small amount of salve/ointment (try our aftercare Glide) and apply by gentle massaging (gentle circular motions with moderate pressure) over the circumference of the tattooed skin, during the healing process. Use Make sure not to double dip, or contaminate your Glide with dirty hands. Repeat steps (#2-5) for three (3) days, 3 times a day.

    6. On the fourth (4) day, switch to moisturizing with an unscented lotion (try our whipped lotion) and keep moisturizing to aid the healing dry skin.

    • During this time, your skin may become flaky like a sunburn peel. DO NOT pick, peel or prune! Simply keep washing, and lotioning in between letting those krispies fall off the slow natural way. Expect this to be the itchiest stage.

Avoid for one (1) month after tattoo session:

    • Tight clothes over the tattoo,

    • Excessive rubbing, scratching, or pulling the skin.

    • No close shaving, exfoliation

AVOID FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

    • the sun

    • This video is pretty good on explaining more.

Enhancement sessions is suggested after years of sun exposure, for full color or high contrast tattoos. Most current rate will apply.

if your aftercare regiment is unlike this one and the tattoo does not heal well enough for touch ups being necessary, my current hourly rate will be applied.

  • All medical barriers and sharps used in Gold Fang Gallery and during the tattooing process are disposable, single-use products that guarantee the most current standards of sterility. While we maintain a rigorous commitment to cleanliness and hygiene, we are also mindful and considerate of our environmental impact, striving to uphold practices that are respectful and beneficial to our planet. 🌱

The impact and footprint that tattooing has on the environment due to its overuse of single-use plastics, paper, and chemicals has been overwhelmingly significant and troubling. Just like many medical practices, waste management is hardly prioritized when your subject is a living being that must be diligently protected from cross-contamination. Standards are usually set with the reliance on outdated products, while the necessary research is often controlled and influenced by monopolies within the medical supply industry. In contrast, tattooing is sustained and encouraged by smaller, more innovative companies, which enables research, development, and open communication with the consumer as well, thus fostering a more conscientious approach to both artistry and environmental responsibility.

  • RENEE LITTLE (Owner of Gold Fang Gallery and creator of Gold Rush Skincare) has been tattooing professionally since 2006 in downtown St.Petersburg Florida and apprenticed under Frankie D, Justin Swafford, and Ozzy Garcia.

Renee has been a naturalist since birth loving the textures of flora and fauna. As a child she hunted for rocks on long walks and having only animals and books as friends, she grew up to love tattooing and painting.

On her off time, she enjoys her three Norwegian forest cats of Tolkien names, black/ambient metal, reading, Painting, inventing, and some heavy carpentry adding flare to Gold Fang Gallery.

Renee has studied a diverse range of art forms from painting to theater and graduated from Pinellas County Center for the Arts in 2003. After graduation she moved her Interest to science with a focus on field Biology and Entomology at Saint Petersburg College.

Renee pursued tattooing in Tampa Bay and rejoined her love of art when the recession hit the job market changed, especially for artists in those past times when the country was at war.

Tattooing at that time was considered more of a craft and Renee saw the opportunity to turn it into an art form. With veterans returning with scars and wounds, Renee's talents remain highly sought after for her scar camouflage and coverups. Achieving total body transformations with her applied knowledge of anatomy and how to create compositions from abstraction. She mainly focuses on custom large scale body forming tattoos even though she works on fun flash pieces for special events and tattoo conventions.

Tattoo themes Renee is always excited to work on (using her Illustrative Realism style) are Animal portraits, bugs, birds and bones, as also anything fantasy. Her darker side comes from studying humanities and diving into the visualizations of the macabre and the human dilemma of death. She adores sci-fi, cosmos/ space and toothy lovecraftian demons with aquatic nuances.

Renee is excited to work with you on your project:) When you're describing your idea, try and word it in a the form of a noun, verb and some adjectives. As a literary buff, Renee loves to tell a story with your design.

If by chance your design is not approved it is purely because Renee does not feel like she will do the best job. She often refers you to who she thinks would do best so make sure to check out her work and see if it matches your thoughts:)

  • Here are a number of thoughtful explanations revealing how Renee approaches tattooing, art, and the deeply personal process of collaborating closely with people for hours, sometimes stretching over many years.

Tattooing since 2006, Renee started as a trained artist. She sold unique paintings and punk rock crafts to make a living. When she began tattooing, her art changed—she had to leave behind oil painting and realistic fruit for bold lines, hygiene rules, and working closely with clients. Years later, she got the chance to explore her own style, and it worked. She kept learning new tattoo techniques, working closely with people, even living and working in their shops around the world. Understanding other crafts helped shape the style she has mastered today.

She has a fine art background but also speaks human—so don’t worry if you say the wrong thing, just do your best to explain your idea in the way that feels natural to YOU. Renee is known for asking a ton of questions because she genuinely wants to understand you. She’s been diagnosed as Neuro Divergent, which shapes how she processes information and connects with your vision. She truly cares about you and your story, and this thoughtful approach helps her build the concept based on your desires. In fact, she often comes up with about 90% of the design in her mind right at that moment, blending your input with her creative intuition to craft something truly unique.

“I am but a humble cobbler of the community, I am here to serve”

In this situation, Renee is the experienced driver who understands many different techniques and approaches to complete your tattoo successfully. If the project involves a large-scale design, such as a full body piece or even a fully colored leg tattoo, it could take over a year, requiring consistent monthly sessions to achieve the desired outcome. Be sure to communicate your personal circumstances clearly, whether they involve financial constraints or scheduling challenges—Renee can adapt and begin the journey in various ways, steering the project smoothly from start to finish. It’s important to remember that this is a collaborative effort, and it takes at least two people working together to create a meaningful, lasting tattoo.

Try not to confuse her by frequently changing the ideas of subject and theme too much during your conversations with her, and make sure you are fully prepared before reaching out and consulting.

Her responsibilities as your tattoo artist are focused entirely on designing your ideas to flow seamlessly along the natural curvature of your muscles. She carefully matches color palettes to complement your unique skin type, while thoughtfully considering the size and durability of the tattoo over time. These crucial elements ensure a long-lasting, beautiful piece of art that ages gracefully. Achieving this level of precision requires a great deal of energy, skill, and wisdom—qualities she has developed through years of professional training and experience.

It's always best to be well-prepared and completely clear in your intentions.

She and her co-workers possess a foundational knowledge of folklore, the occult, cosmos, flora, fauna, and related subjects. Their understanding is just deep enough to grasp the traditions and otherworldly meanings behind various symbols, ensuring that their work respects cultural significance. This careful awareness helps keep their clients safe from unintended offense or irony, maintaining a thoughtful and sincere artistic approach throughout their creative process.

Make sure you are confidently set on a clear theme, style, and subject or thing before beginning. If you need any guidance whatsoever, her consultation days come highly recommended for personalized advice and support.

Renee cannot letter… Her handwriting is actually quite decent when the words are under ten letters long. It’s not exactly “script” either—there’s a certain finesse and fluidity to true script that she never quite managed to master fully. Because of this limitation, her managers and previous employers quickly steered her toward creating more animal portraits and intricate floral work instead. That significant shift profoundly shaped her current artistic style, and it’s genuinely what brings her the most joy and fulfillment today. She’s happy to offer guidance and input on design choices if genuinely wanted, as artists often collaborate closely on such creative decisions.

She’s been tattooing professionally for 20 years, carving her own path in a time when many talented women went uncredited and unheard. Despite the challenges, she maintained her high professional standards with unwavering dedication, building a distinctive and respected career over more than a decade.

A Guest Spot is when Renee travelsl to another studio to work for a limited time, seeing friends and reconnecting with clients who may have moved away. It’s a dual trip of work and camaraderie, blending art with adventure.

She see’s life slightly differently — and thrives on happy animals and plants, the freshness of open air, cats curling up nearby, deep sleep, and blooming flowers. After encountering so many humans, conflicts, and even surreal experiences through traveling and creating art with other crazy artists, she finds art travel to be the ultimate escape. After Renee climbs a mountain and paints outside for a week— is the real remedy most people seek in a drink.
